I am reflecting on the lines by Rumi the 12th century mystic who I’m greatly influenced by.

“Between right and wrong there’s a garden and I’ll meet you there” Rumi

What did Rumi wish to convey has been my contemplation this week.

Each one of us has our interpretations of right and wrong. Nobody’s viewpoint is absolute. My observations are that the weak are suppressed and oppressed in society not just today. Our appetites to support the privileged and powerful seem voracious. We divide and rule while spreading hate, hostility and harm.

My practice has been to go into the wisdom and find the emotion of love within my heart space. It’s an experience that I wish for each one to explore and discover. Make every effort to maintain that feeling. The mind and life’s happenings will want to pull you out. When you notice that, stay as a silent observer witnessing the chaos. Peace and calm shall return.
