The daily happenings of life always teach if one is in a space of curiosity and learning.
One such winter afternoon, my little one was riding the subway. She was listening to her favorite music and enjoying her bagel during her long ride. A fellow passenger started spitting at her which took her a few minutes to realize. She recognized immediately that he was after her lunch sandwich. She handed it over without resistance. This incident firstly made me very sad.
My reflections
1. As humans we have an innate tendency to survive. We can go to any lengths to be able to survive.
2. Are we taking care of our mental health enough? Each one has a shadow side which must be kept under strict vigil or else it shall overpower our divine nature, which we are here to become during this lifetime.
3. Are we practicing gratitude on a moment to moment basis for all that we are given. Many of us take life for granted.
My daughter inspired me when she called me after her ride and incident accepting the reality and cruelty of the situation. Both my girls have learnt to manage the roller coaster of life much better than I was able to when I was their ages. I feel blessed to have my two best friends who I have had the good fortune and blessing to mother. I am extremely proud of you as we enter the holiday season.
Looking forward to our fun times this holiday season as always. Happy Thanksgiving to my American friends and followers.
Blessings always
