
I have coached several clients over the span of my coaching career where there is dissonance between words and actions of stakeholders. The root belief of one’s values when broken is hurtful, deceiving and confusing for many. We expect for our dignities to be preserved and respected. Very often this does not happen. It leaves us frustrated and angry.
The anger is like a poison that eats away at us in the bargain.
The practice that I’ve been led to acquire has been to lower the intensity of my interactions with stakeholders to a level that suits me. My expectations are carefully managed and I am less susceptible to deceit, hurt and pain.
